Admissions
Thank you for your interest in Netzer Year! Combining living, learning, growing, and giving back, the international and cultural diversity of our program is unique. We hope to see you in Israel!
Netzer Year is a gap year program for recent high school graduates who have not yet begun studying at college or university. Participants must have graduated high school and are generally between 17-20 years old. If you have already been accepted to college or university and are interested in applying to Netzer Year, please speak with your school's admissions office to see how to defer your admission. Most schools make this process very easy.

The application consists of the following components, all of which are completed online except for the Physican Medical Examination Form:
1. The General Application, in which you will be asked to upload the following items:

A color photo of yourself

A color copy of the photo page of your passport

A copy (official or unofficial) of your most recent High School transcript
2 . The Participant Code of Conduct, which you will be required to read, understand, and accept as part of your General Application.
3. The Parent/Guardian Agreement, which a parent/guardian will be required to read, understand, and accept as part of your General Application.
4. Two recommendations. One reference must be from a rabbi, youth group advisor or other Jewish Professional. The second may be from a teacher, guidance counselor, employer or coach, etc.
5. The Participant Medical Information Form, which must be completed by the applicant with your parent/guardian.
6. The Medical Examination Form, which must be completed by your physician and then faxed or scanned and emailed back to us (return instructions are on form).
7. A $300 refundable deposit, made out to NFTY Israel Programs. Checks may be sent to Netzer Year at 633 Third Avenue, 7th Floor | New York, NY 10017

Please note that we will not accept any applicants who have not completed the entire application process. If you or your parents have Israeli citizenship, please contact us before applying.
Once you have completed the application and we have received your recommendations, medical forms, and deposit, you will be contacted to schedule an interview with Netzer Year staff. After your interview, you will receive a written notification of your acceptance in approximately two weeks. In the meantime, don't hesitate to be in touch with any questions!
